The scheduler didn't trust us, but we did!
A great counterscore with a blitz! kickoff result gave the vampires a great edge, forcing the CDs to expose the ball to try to even the result: sadly a misclick stole our blitz on the ballcarrier, so we relied on the wizard who hit the ballcarrier but didn't stun him, while Wilhelm Chaney, having already earned his pay, had no intention to regenerate from a 1d casualty he suffered. Without rerolls, the middle-earthlings recovered it and went for the score after another, even if not extremely easy, blitzing attempt failed.
2nd half seemed hard but we got a boost from a quick snapping kickoff, running enough to leave all dwarves far until turn 5. Our opponents had to rush a bit, but they succeeded, failing only against our cagebreaking art, which put in the hands of Giovanni dalle Bande Nere the outcome of the match: he requested fresh blood to accomplish his goal, but given that he landed a perfect pass at midfield, far enough to safely watch the dwarves attempt failing miserably: vampires did it again!
