With the Nurgle winning the toss and getting a chance at some free hits on the 11 man... sorry... lizard team, we were hoping for some early dice in our favour, but a Blitz! put us under pressure. After one good hit on a skink, the rest were lame... even the wizard could only manage to hit 1 of 2 skinks and only proned it.
It felt like salt in the wound when my only MB/Claw warrior decided to stay KO'd leaving us 10 players a side.
However, Smeat managed to conjure up more double skulls than I have seen for a while which put his plans into reverse... and the last couple decided the game as we swooped in for the ball to score.
In a tough match it was horrible to see the game decided in such a manner, but it does take us to the top position, and for that we're grateful... we're soooo high we're getting nosebleeds... we're not used to this! Enjoy our luck (or rather oppo's bad luck) whilst we can before the dice turn on us!!
