We met yet another Skaven team, the Castello Cabolleros. It was our opponents' first encounter with dwarves, and I can for sure say they got struck by surprise with a mighty, mighty blow (and boot).

Weather was fine, the Nomads well-prepared (except for Sunni who still recovers from a nasty arm fracture). After some time off the pitch, we were eager to get back into action, even though it was Skaven again.

We had to kick first. The rats did what they do, they tried to sneak around us, attacking the flanks. Harok showed some good effort to catch up with them, but it didn't prevent them from scoring. We were not worried: The game was still young, we only got started.
And what a start it was! Mordin crippled a linerat on the first block. Gerta brought the rat ogre down, Orek finished it off with a heavy boot for the rest of the game and probably some time beyond. Harok secured the ball. Rats swarmed around us, eager to steal the precious pigskin, but Harok dodged them and passed it down to Captain Ironfist. The rats' only storm vermin broke through and knocked him over, but we easily dealt with the threat. Gerta started removing the remaining opponents, accompanied by Orek's boot and with heavy support of the rest of the team. Captain Ironfist recalled the ball and walked in his second touchdown. The Cabolleros weren't able to show real resistance anymore.

Second half we received, facing the seven rats who had managed to crawl back onto the pitch. Two opponents we removed with our opening attack. Again they got into our backfield, again Harok flawlessly passed the ball forward to the captain. Scattered Cabolleros tried some desperate attacks but didn't even get a shot at the ball carrier, neither could they take advantage when a misunderstanding between the Ironfist brothers lead to us dropping the ball.
All left to do for us was to systematically seal them off. Orek used the chance to destroy two more Skaven Grindball careers with the referee not objecting. There's not much love for that vermin pest in Tilea, so much is for sure - and we approve.

When Dwinbar had scored the 2-1 winning touchdown, only three of our opponents were able to line up for a final shot at us - but they instead ran away, playing some ball.
