  1. NCBB Ssn 20, Game 4

Looking across at a lizard team with 2 MB, Texas grabbed a wandering Apo, expecting to put a KO or BH back in the game early, but the bash and the dice were all with Texas, and that's pretty much the story. Any time Cal tried to make something happen, Blocks and Dodges didn't work, and the reverse was true with Texas, even to having a re-roll to spare each half and one Apo still on the bench at the end of the game, and scoring with the 3 players they wanted to.

The play-by-play, as Nuffle would have it, is pretty simple. Texas chose to Kick short, and Cal caged near midfield but lost their MB Saurus RIP'd (and again via Apo) Turn 1 by a meager Wrestler. After KO'ing a DT Skink, Texas swamped cage Turn 2, and when Cal RR'd a Both-Down Blitz to the same it then collapsed, and via a 1d block Texas had recovered the ball and run beyond Cal to end Turn 3. While Texas found knockdowns almost every block, Block and Dodge frustrated Cal blocking responses, and Tackle did Skinks no favours as Texas KO'd another Saurus and stalled 'til the score to end the half 1-0.

No one out for Texas, while of Cal's 3 KO's only the rookie Skink woke up, a DT Skink and Block Saurus still KO'd, their Catcher Skink banned, and the MB Saurus RIP'd - the Krox, 4 Sauri and 4 Skinks against the starting Texas lineup.

A Perfect Defense didn't slow down Texas' luck, as they MNG'd the rookie Skink and then knocked down 2 Sauri w/ 1d blocks (w/ a RR) to regain position. They turned the corner and KO'd the St 1 DP Turn 2, the remaining Cal DT Skink BH'd itself in response, and Texas surfed the Blodge/Tackle Saurus.

Cal then got one ray of hope, 4+ dodging their +Ag Sure Hands Saurus to Pow the Blodge ballcarrier on their own 4. But it was shortlived as the pickup failed, and with 3 skinks and a Saurus out for the game and 2 more skinks and a Saurus KO'd, Texas scored at the start of Turn 4, 2-0.

Turn 5 the 2 Skinks woke up but the Saurus didn't, and so the Krox, 4 Sauri and only 3 skinks (the rookie, 1 DT, the St 1 DP) faced the starting Texas roster. Texas used their first Apo to keep their KO'd Guard in the game for what looked like the final drive. Texas immediately broke the back of the cage and flushed the ballcarrier out, then surfed it, recovering the ball on their own 5. Cal failed to find a Pow to open a lane to mark the ballcarrier, and Turn 7 Texas elf-balled 3/4 the length of the field, stalling out of range for the T16 score, 3-0.

Turn 16, Cal finally found 3 stuns - too little, too late, to punctuate their luck.
