Both teams got a bye in the 1st round.

The 'flings received first and went after the troll. A horrible little halfing jumped on his knee, smashing it. The smell of the chef had the big oaf distracted and he didn't regenerate! They huddled around the ball and the orcs closed in, only for a tree to toss one of them over the maul! He landed on his head though, and Aztec picked up the ball.

The legendary orc is no stranger to the wizard, and brought his rubber soles with him. (He used them in the next game too!) Despite the steal, the 'Swas failed to score after a brave 'fling took down an orc blitzer on his own. When the chef stole all our rerolls for the 2nd half, it was game on!

The 2nd half Zed's little guys tried hard but got smashed off the field. However, a sturdy tree slipped into range of Aztec and knocked him down and there was a brief struggle for the ball - Morg was thrown into the crowd. Aztec emerged with it and only the trees were left on the field by the end of the drive. A deep kick sealed it, but those trees crack the skull of a lineorc and we knew we were in a tough game.”
