The flings spotted an opening early first half and a tree blitzed the ball carrier and the ball went in to the crowd, the flings grabbed but the ball but had no where to run, the zons then got the ball back kicked a few flings and walked the ball in scoring in turn 8. The flings still had their TTM attempt. Everything went to plan, the ball was given to the Ag5 fling who was thrown down field and just needed a 2+ with rr to score, but no, nuffle wasn't having it and tripped him at the last second.

2nd half was tricky, the best fling was missing, but the halfings managed to run the clock down enough then make a line in to the opponents half. However they put enough pressure on the ball carrier in to force a TTM attempt, this one worked. 1-1. Then nuffle reared his ugly head again, Riot on the kick off table and this gave the Zons an extra turn to get the winner. The zons walked the ball forward then a fireball flashed out the sky and took the ball carrier down but left her cage standing, the trees pushed the zons out the way leaving a 2+ 2+ 2+ with rr to get the ball and get out of there, had this have worked the game would surely have been won by the flings, but again at the vital moment Nuffle popped up again with two 1s to prevent the flings capitalising. After that the zons grabbed the ball and though the flings did all they could forcing a double GFI in the final turn, the zons made their 2+ rolls which ultimately proved the difference.

It was a close fun game, but this one will sting for the Halfling coach for some time to come. Back to killing teams in Ranked.
