“The Figli chose to receive, and CTGFM chose to screw up big time. Mr Lollipop knocked himself out on a snaked GFI and decided to stay out for the rest of the match. The trolls indulged in rolling skulls. At some point, the goblins just stayed down and hoped it would be all over soon. The Orcs happily stalled, waiting for the last turn to tick down. Then the magic happened. Groucho dodged out, tossed a goblin for an assist, Steve came bouncing all the way, knocking down the ball carrier on a 1D blitz. A fortunate bounce, and the ball ended in two tackle zones. One Orc blitz later, it was only one. Chief went in, picked up the ball, dodged away. Scored. No biggie. The goblins then had a great chance for 1TTD. But another snaked GFI did not let it happen.
Second half started with some hope. After fouling out a lineorc, the decision to reroll another failed block by Bonzo turned out to be a good one, when BoB #4 (nickname La Bestia) was badly hurt and carried off the pitch. Somehow, Steve made the touchdown. Numbers didn't look that bad, but with none of the knockouts (including both ball and chain and chainsaw) coming back, the Goblins could do little to stop the Orcs from scoring once more. Or could they? It was the last action of the game. The reroll was already wasted to a 2+ dodge from Steve. When Bonzo's brain suddenly kicked in. Dodging out into the free, he stormed towards Chief, knocked him over, stunned him, and rescued the draw. Was it the smell of dinner rising? A sudden shift in temperature activating his brain cell? We will never know. But for one moment, he proved that he deserved being on the team.”
