“Diane, it's 12:51 PM on Sunday, December 21st, and I've just returned from dealing with a terrible rat infestation here in Twin Peaks. They seem to have come from the woods, which are wondrous here but also mysterious. Sheriff Truman, Deputy Hawk and town bigwig Ben Horne were all very helpful in the investigation. James Hurley had to go seek medical attention early and did not return. We'll be attending the funeral of Jerry Horne on Tuesday. It was my call to hold the apothecary's hand, but I felt I might need Albert's team before the game was done.
