“Both teams in this matchup are looking to bring an attrition game, getting rid of their opponent's key players to gain an advantage. The Disasters have a bench to bring in, but the Kickers have killers on the team. The Kickers win the coin toss and ironically choose to receive.

The Kickers immediately get 2 KOs, giving them the man advantage that they were looking for. In reply the Disasters' minotaur roars the blitz through a RR, and it's not looking promising yet. The Disasters manage to get next to the ballcarrier, but the cage is reformed. Unfortunately for them, the side is marked by the minotaur, and the Disasters manage 2 1db pows to get the ball free, but are unable to get it to a secure location. The Kickers are also unable to secure the ball, since it is in the middle of a scrum. The Mino roars while trying to knock someone onto the ball, but the Troll responds by taking Skillet out of the game, and then the Ogre knocks himself down. Because of this the Kickers are able to secure the ball and remove the Dark Elf from the game. The disasters try to cut off the escape, but the Kickers are able to get the ball to the corner of the field. Crobble gets his hip smashed, but the Apothecary gives him some booze and tells him to suck it up. A fail on movement selection means the Disasters get a bunch of extra hits, but the best they can manage is a KO before the Kickers score.

1-0 Butte

The Disasters have an opportunity for a TTM TD, but the goblin drops the ball. They take a concession of 2 KOs to end the half.

2nd half
Only 1 of the 3 KOs wake up for the Kickers, so it's 8 on 11. After a riot, the Disasters cause a KO and a SI to make it 6 on 11. Next turn another SI makes it 5 on 11. Larson "Speedy Gonzalez" runs around the line with a blitz to mark the BC, but he is easily dodged away from. He once again floats like a butterfly, but fails to sting like a bee, so the ballcarrier runs it in, with the Disasters hoping for a defensive TD with their man advantage.

The disasters use their big guys to make a spread front line since it is 6 on 11. The choose to set up on only 2 of the big guys, which pays off for them because they get a RR instead of a blitz. They gather up the ball and attempt to get a receiver downfield. Joplin surrounds the Kicker players, and sends 2 guys after the ball carrier. Unfortunately for them, one of their players dodges into the goblin and then knocks him down, leaving himself on the opposite side of the remaining defensive players. The Long Pass from Larson connects, and he's all but home free. The second block sees the Ogre roll Skull/Both Down and fail RR, so the Disasters can put up no more of a fight, and he's home free for the score. The Disasters put together one last hail mary to throw the goblin onto the ball carrier, but a really stupid troll does nothing but leave the goblin next to a Kicker player to get hurt before the score.

A well-fought victory for the Kickers, but not without cost as they replace their rookie Chaos Warrior.”
