The crowd roared, drowning out the referee's repeated whistles. The goblin 'medics', struggling to drag an undead weight off the pitch were suddenly thrust aside. As Coach Luo scurried over, Ziggy sat up, his eyes twinkling with a grave-wisp glow. "Alright coach! These lads know how to party! But don't worry, I can lick 'em while smiling." With a merry grin, he shuffled back to the pitch, ready to setup for another drive.
Coach Luo looked up at another whistle blow. "Well bugger me. We scored? On a defensive drive?" His third hand reached up to stroke his chin. "I don't remember them training for that..."

Coach Luo scuttled over and scowled at the trio of Tomb Guardians as they larked about in the KO box. "Get back out there, intermission is over! The fans are getting rowdy! Well, rowdier..." he shook his head in irritation. "Never mind that, just go back and play the rest of the set, will you?"
Jack looked up with a smirk. "Can't coach. I've pulled a hammy!" With a flourish, he held up a long fibrous muscle.
"Where did you get that?" Luo cried. "Have you been into my stash again?!"
The other two Guardians wander back onto the pitch, chuckling at the antics of the mismatched pair in the dugout. Coach was right about one thing - there was still sweet music to be played!

Coach Luo looked forlornly at Debaser's comatose figure. His scrying eye showed him that the displacement of the spine would take at least a week to repair.
"Elves next too. Debaser had such a knack..."
A deep, bass, rumbling formed words: "Fret not, Coach" The King spaketh. "Though this injury be a tarnish, the game was a shining success! Another fine show for the..."
and the gathered bandmates joined in to his final line:
"SPHINXES FROM MARS!"”

Regeneration was the story of the night, as 6 of 8 casualties kept cycling back on to the field and the Fun Police were unable to establish numerical dominance after their brutal hitting. 6 failed attempts to pick up by Grod had coach Semitence questioning whether or not he would be allowed anywhere on the pitch in future, let alone given ball handling duties.
The pestigor contingent performed poorly, failing to sweep, cover, dodge, GFI or produce and sort of meaningful contribution to the match. The Warriors on the other hand were nails all match. Terry was named MVP after a solid performance - despite forgetting Halloween Jack's grabbing abilities.
