”Ouch again.
Almost a 1st half Defensive score, almost a good 2nd half drive, almost saved the drive, almost scored T16 to skill a Gorilla - but double-skulls stopped the first, and a failed 3+ handoff the rest - a lot of "almosts", that added up to nothing.
But didn't "almost" get hammered - 2 expensive players retired (the Gorilla by a lowly lino, the Guard/Chimp by a (appropriate) late-game no-assist DP Foul) will delay a Silverback (previously scheduled before next game) until late-season at the earliest, and losing a net 17 ssp (30-17) and 3 positional skills (one a double for Guard) is definitely moving in the wrong direction.
Between losing the win and the key skilled positionals, prospects of post-season diminish.
