“XFL Goblin - Round 3
My opponents are another team of rookies.

They win the kickoff and they block flawlessly, taking out a couple players.
Rinse and repeat for the rest of the half with them taking out player after player while being seemingly unbreakable.

They score on close to the end of the half but the kick is in the back corner so no chance to equalize.

Second half we start out 8 vs. 11 but I manage to score by running Darkblood to the back corner, he avoids one block from a charging troll and scores.
This means my opponent finally loses his remaining weapons and we are close to even strength again.

We kick and lose more players to flawless blocking. Later we get a chance when Darkspirit dodges into the cage and manages to take down the ball carrier unassisted. Then Darkblood picks up the ball and tries to throw it to safety, unfortunately he fumbles the ball and our opponents recover and score.

Then our opponent had perfect defense which made it almost impossible to score and force overtime. Darkblood picked it up and threw it to Shawowleaper in a crowd. Shadowleaper then ran over and handed it off to Redtooth who was completely surrounded but caught the ball with ease, then he blitzed an opponent out of the way and then fell on his ass as he tried to dodge away for the touchdown.

Key moment in the game was halfway through the second half when i saw the chance to snatch a sure win from likely defeat I went for it and told Darkblood to make sure to get the ball to Shadowleaper when just getting it away from my end zone would have been likely to stop the touchdown. Of course he failed the pass but i think i would do the same again next time as my opponent had been excellent at ball handling so i couldn't risk it.

In the end misfortune after misfortune snatched away our victory. Good luck to my opponent in the next rounds, if your team continues to play like they did in this game, I expect Darkwood Lurkers go all the way to XFL champs.”
