“Quite a fun game this against Gobbos but we just found they were hitting more consistently. We couldn't get many down but those big cousins of the snots where having no trouble with our dodge (no block or tackle on either side!), though the Trolls were rather dumb. We advanced a little in the first half and then did a TTM TD through Lucan. That got rid of the Saw and Bomb quite early which were looking threatening.
We put some pause on them in their return with Bulldog and Big Daddy trying to grab the carrier but after taking some snots out the Gobbos equalized before half time.
Second half we were down to 9 and then quickly 8. We tried to keep up the pressure on the carrier but the thing kept getting away. But eventually it came down to Haystacks needing to dodge from a gobo (with rr) to be able to blitz at their carrying pogoist. But the Wrestler let us down and fell flat. 1-2 down.
We then had a brief chance to equalize but to no avail. Another one of many games where we go away with a defeat, yet a whisker away from a draw. If a Gobbo hadn't taken out a Snot on turn 16 then we could have setup lucan away from tackle zones as he awaited a handoff catch on a TTM OT attempt. Instead he rolled 1 then 2 (needing 3 due to tz). A great shame as we had RRs available for the throw. But at least Lucan wasn't hurt in a throw today (as the Ogres often pound him down).
We are needing money but were given a paltry 20K. But the Wrestlers will return and the Bulldog now knows how to block well!
