“GLT XI: Old Teams Qualifiers 1: Round 1

We bid goodbye to the last original member of the team, Marcus.

I have a big problem playing against Nurgle...with any team really...I can't seem to wrap my head around how to approach them. Allowing 51 blocks is NOT the way for sure.

1st half DR is KO'd on the 1st turn (didn't even get a line on the player list above). Bomber fumbles 3 of 4 bombs. One did get off and knock the ball out, but that was about mid half and I couldn't get close. He KO's him self the last time he fumbles. Would have lost all the SW, but got a bribe on the turn 7 KO, so Flint Came back.

2nd half a major pitch invasion didn't help me at all (well, it helped some, but not enough to score). Planning to use Blatant Foul with Flint, I forgot to use it on the 1st turn (when many Nurgle players were stunned) but still fouled and got ejected on the 1st turn. Blatant foul did take out one of the 2 legends on turn 2. Use the Wiz in frustration when I couldn't hit the BC with Jump Up (I don't think jump up worked one time in the 2nd half..and I tried many times with both slayers). Got the ball out, stunned the guy and it bounced to my guy...but the Very Non-stupid Beast (might have missed one in the 1st half, but he did not fail a RS roll for sure in the 2nd half...yeah, he always had help..but once would have been nice) was able to mark my BC before he got blitzed down. From there, I my players just left the pitch in droves, culminating in Marcus dying as the Nurgle broke down field for the eventual TD. (---rant/whine on...other teams seem to be able to keep and actually use players for 100's of games, while I barely ever even get one player close to 100). Marcus dies with 75 SPP's in 98 games.


No new skills. Oh, look, Boomer gets the MVP for fumbling the bomb so many times.
