With the sun shining through the clouds and the field perfectly dry, the Watchmen took to the pitch against the Tholgorond Dragons. For the first few turns the dark elves had no problem dodging from the tentacles of Rorschach and The Comedian, but right around turn 3 Hollis Mason decided to get the party started with the team's first casualty. Solid pressure was being applied by the elves, but two pitch removals helped to speed things along as Dollar Bill brought the ball up the left flank.

Turn 4 nearly brought disaster to the heroes. Due to an unfortunate miscount on the part of their coach, Dollar Bill was left in range of not one but two dark elf defenders who both managed to put tackle zones on the ball. Big Figure lay close by to help with defense, but it did not seem enough to deal with the pressure brought by the Dragons.

With no rerolls to spare, Dollar Bill took the plunge and dodged away from the crowd. He was successful in the dodge, though his pass fell short of the intended receiver - Rorschach. Nonetheless, Watchmen Philosophy had some space to work with.

It seemed as though Shadonir Valitars had an easy block to clear a path for a Dragons touchdown. But two shots at Big Figure only sent both of them crashing to the turf, prematurely ending the hopes of the Dragons.

Dollar Bill did not waste this golden opportunity. He picked the ball up immediately and handed off to Hollis Mason who began sprinting for paydirt. With very little resistance offered by the Dragons, Hollis eventually cruised to a touchdown in turn 8.

The second half started off with the Dragons playing coy - feinting to the right side of the field before coming back strong to the left. An easy elven pass to the speedy Sharinta Batarin put them within easy range of a score. One of the mercenaries was sent in to mark The Comedian with Clashes Kayn, but Clashes took a quick nap in the KO box thanks to the efforts of Hollis Mason.

The Comedian dodged free for a blitz that put him in close contact with Sharinta and appeared to tie her up for the moment. Ozymandias came in to flank The Comedian and make Sharinta's escape more difficult. As it turned out, there would be no escape. The typically agile Draconian attempted to offer his assistance to Sharinta, but fell to the turf as he dodged past Hooded Justice. There would be no reprieve for the witch elf as she was shoved unceremoniously into the crowd.

With the ball in the middle of the field and a wizard still in play, the Watchmen sat back and simply marked the ball to prevent the Dragons from scoring. With only four players left on the pitch the odds were against them, but they managed to use the wizard to full effect and snatch the ball for a pass to the mercenary.

Hollis Mason once again proved to be the hero as he crushed the lineman and ripped the ball from his grasp. The ball bounced right to his hands and stayed there as the Watchmen ran out the clock.
