“I was a bit concerned about the power of their Tomb Guardians going into this, but the big boys stood up to it well, or rather kept standing up again, which is similar but more painful. Turns out those big old rotters are slower than our boys, rather helpful in parts.

Bully knocked their receiver over, great run again. But they got it back and nearly ran one in before Brute took down their Blitz-Ra right on the line, brave lad, ended up holding the ball (after a green one had it for all of two seconds) and got smashed, but they couldn't pick it up and the half was called before we got anywhere either.

Our receive in the second, and the cut-back play (rather forced on us by their strong centre) finally looked on target to pay off. Bully blitzed his way to the line over and over, but stumbled over it and lost the ball. Disaster, they did clean it up this time and only a goonish blitz by Goon out of the ruck cut them off. It'll be nice to have a full squad of mobile boys again next game, Muscle's muscle is always missed.

Not much else to it really, the green ones mostly staying on field long enough to give the boys a bit more freedom and space, which certainly helps. None of them in the pot, but strangely the spectacle score was very popular with our fans. Ties it is, hopefully the old curse is well broken.”
