“Goodness me - what a game.

My ogres had lucked their way to the final - especially pitch clearing Jeguan's woodies in an earlier round. So I wondered if their name was on this particular RRR trophy…..

Rabe elected to kick and with a bomber and a wizard, it was going to be hard graft. Thankfully some very well behaved ogres and a couple of rubbish dodges from the gobbos on the orc teams gave me enough leeway to get down for a first half score.

The ogres were on fire early second half and getting rid of a couple of orc blitzers (and the snotlings seemed more resilient than ever), I was getting superiority. When my star ogre (well, he has Break Tackle) dodged into the cage on 4s and took both down on the gobbo ball-carrier it was looking great. When the wizard failed to clear off one of the ogres marking the bounced ball, it was looking terrific. And when I sacked the only player in range in my T7, it looked over. Rabe even did that thing were you congratulate the winner. There was still however a chain push to get a gobbo in range. It worked. I was nervous. The ball was in 2 TZs so a naked 5 up was needed to pick up. It worked and I was very nervous. Several dodges later, several GFIs and a catch in a TZ, Rabe had equalised. I was pretty disconsolate. OT it was.

Thankfully I received but with the ball landing just short of my end zone and then him blitzing me, it was looking serious. I just about picked it up (last RR), and then we entered several high stakes turns as I avoided being knocked down, avoided too many ogre actions (too retain TZs) and even got most of the way down the pitch. When a gobbo failed a critical dodge, I was looking favourite again but the ogres took that time to go all turnover on me and Rabe's one possible saviour dodged out, got the POW and then hoovered up the ball.

Rabe had a bit of a chance to get the winner - but a great final turn from me gave him too much to do and to penalties the game went.

4-2 to the Ogres and the RRR was (eventually) won. 2 hrs, 24 turns (25 for Rabe :o) and a shoot-out. BB is great but sometimes it can be too great. I need a lie down now.
