“Awe. We were lost in it. Our simple shop of casualties visited by such a team, 6 experienced players, 3 veterans, 2 emerging stars, 1 star, and 3 super stars (including the fabulously devastating C-Game). We, mere shopkeepers, were handed the world to play them, little good it did us against such blinding on-field lights, not to mention the coaching.

Compare us, just a couple of emerging stars, plus Deeproot Strongbranch joining us for the day. The lads were brave though, we received, caged it up loosely to trouble their astoundingly agile leaping tackling blodger C-Game, and it took him a couple of turns to free it with us hoping to take in some quick casualties in the crush. They ran it downfield and stalled, of all things, but not for long.

We'd receive a lot today, but courage and some spare apothecaries kept us to 11. It was most of the blocking our big timber got. The second kick was very deep (Stunned Tobehere looking back at it was more than stunned by a blitzing Soda!), and we had to pass it up, which went loose, so they ran it in, Leif blitzing their star thrower Rock off for good measure after the fact, highlight of our day.

In the second we got to kick, the kicking boots trick trying for a short one to maybe steal it, not to be. They toyed with us, and we got Clive onto the ball, but what use is that with such grand Elves, clear a path, pass, handoff, score.

Third receive, Wrecked Elbow over the top with the ball, couldn't land it. They tried a pass and fluffed it! Ha, missing that star. Cracked ribs gathered it and was hurled over the top in range, at least some hope up there, but blitzed and fouled off for his troubles. Miffing Deef gave White Horse a push from in monstrous traffic, trying for a badge, but they away and scored their 4th.

Fourth receive, Deeproot threw Cracked Ribs into the crowd, and that was that, our missile strike (young Somany Bits) on the covering wall falling well short.

Coca Loca BBL take away just three casualties, with one exchange, but the death gives us a wonderful funeral to make up for the tournament exit, always so much pie. To be honest, I don't think the lads are anywhere near up to it, maybe with a second division! Ha! Good luck to that team though, smash those Woodies for us! Cheaters not using a tree.
