#11 Per-yats – Pinched Nerve (MNG)
Highlights of the match:

In an act of early suicide the U-dogs receive the ball and immediately cluster on the touchline just perfect for surfing into the crowd. Fortunately, just before mass casualties are inflicted, Cee’gra the skaven thrower launches the ball over the heads of the Wailer’s team to Azu’nee who is waiting in the endzone – TD U-dogs, the ref blows his whistle and the U-dogs earn a reprieve.

A series of fumbles by the Wailer’s ghouls allow the U-dogs to blitz through and grab the loose ball for a quick second TD 2 – 0 to the U-dogs!

No such mistakes on the restart. The Wailers pick up the ball and quickly form a classic cage around the ball carrier. It looks like a fore gone conclusion until the U-dog’s goblin Shir-teeria blitzes into the cage for a 3dice against block that results in both gobbo and ball carrier going down, stunning the ghoul in the process. With the ball loose and on the touchline the Wailers have only one turn to pick up and score… Up steps ‘Aging Adam’ scooping up the loose ball like a pro-elf and running it in to the endzone just as the halftime whistle blows putting the scores at 2 – 1 for the first half.

The second half gets underway with the Wailers trying a passing play that results in a loose ball inside the U-dog’s half. For a long time no one is able to claim possession of the ball, but eventually the Wailer’s superior survivability wins out allowing ‘Jittering James’ the ghoul to score. With less than a quarter of the game left the scores are tied at 2 – 2.

The effects of attrition are starting to show on the U-dogs as they are only able to field 8 players at the start of the next drive. However, they exploit their superior speed to sweep into the corner for the score 3 – 2 and only one turn left in the game, it seems all over, the spectators have started to leave, both of them, but a blitz by the U-dogs skavens and some woeful handling deep in the Wailer’s back field allow the U-doge to score for a fourth time in the match. 4 – 2 U-dogs!

Great game first out with the new team, even better only suffered 1SI which is a MNG on a goblin, something I can definitely live with!
