Season 61 got off to a winning start for the Sentinels with a convincing 4-3 win over the lads from Cocksville.

The game started in pouring rain and it proved to be decisive as the Humans repeatedly failed to pick up the slippery ball. Iolas and Tanyl leaped on the opportunity and the Sentinels soon had a 2-0 lead.

The Blockers were able to knock down a few of the Sentinels but unfortunately for them, they couldn't do any real damage. The lead was extended to 4-1 in the second half, before the Humans made the scoreboard more respectable with two late touchdowns. By then though, the damage was done, and the Sentinels went home with a confidence boosting win.

Best and Fairest voting

3 Votes	#14 Iolas	Single-handedly turned the ball over on multiple occasions. The opposition had nowhere to hide.
2 Votes	#1 Tanyl	Provided a constant threat to the ball carrier and was ready to scoop up any loose balls that Iolas had knocked out. Provided the passes that set up 2 touchdowns.
1 Vote	#11 Injros	His ability to catch the ball from within a crowd of players proved to be too much for the opposition to contain. Scored 2 touchdowns.
Honourable mentions	The Nurse	Was kept busy with a host of Sentinels being KO'd. She was able to get all but one of them back onto the pitch on her first attempt.
