#7 Hurrywurst – Fractured Leg (MNG)
#12 Splattenberg – Pinched Nerve (MNG)
#9 Grief Wellington – Dead (RIP)
#13 Trouble N. Squeak – Dead (RIP)
1 badly injured, 2 seriously injured, 2 dead.

Against Underworld. 56 blocks vs 19 and yet the Norse are destroyed by some bloody Gobbos and Rats. The only injury the Underworld suffered was caused by their own Troll.

Surprisingly, this team was retired straight after the match!

#11 Per-yats – Dead (RIP)
A team I’ve not played before with Underworld, the norse seem like a challenge with mobile ST4 frenzies and block all round being almost as useful as tackle when hitting a gobbo.

Highlights:
Things start badly for the U-dogs with N4C blitzing through a weakly defended centre to challenge for the ball. But poor handling skills and plucky never say die scrapping from U-dogs held the norsemen up for several turns. Gerald swung hard picking up his first kill and Ber’anx seemed to be everywhere blitzing constantly with his new horns mutation and causing a SI of his own. Eventually though N4C won out scoring in the 6th turn.

On restart the U-dogs found themselves in the never before encountered position of being players up fielding 10 against N4Cs 8. The U-dogs go for a variation on their now signature LineRunner play. N4C can do little in response to Ber’anx’s inspired blitzing as he crosses the touchline in the 8th turn. The crowd riot giving N4C a small opening to try and gain the lead again before half time, their runner breaks through the U-dogs line ready to receive the pass, only to meet with Ber’anx’s horns – mark up a second SI to Ber’anx who is having the match of his career. Half time and the scores are 1-1 but more telling is that the U-dogs have survived without suffering a single casualty against 3 SI and RIPs on N4C.

Start of the second half and N4C fumble on pickup opening the gates for U-dogs to attack. But things do not go as planned as Gerald forgets he now has claws as he tries to pick up an unlucky goblin projectile… RIP Per-yats. Things go better for Ber’anx who continues with the purple patch of perfect play with a third casualty, this time badly hurting one of the Ulfweners. With 4 U-dogs bearing down on him the norse ball carrier is rushed into a passing move that fails to connect, a lucky bounce and the ball lands at the feet of U-dog gobbo See-em. He picks up and makes a bee line for the endzone (even picks the right direction to run in). He is hit by a blitz from norse lineman Swaghetti which drives him back into the reach of the frenzied Snow Troll - 3dice block with frenzy, he dodges the first swipe, he doges the second swipe – See-em has just survived a total of 8 block dice rolled against him with the only result being he is now actually closer to scoring then he was before the blocks started being thrown. See-em dodges around the final few tackles and scurries in for what has to be one of the greatest U-dog TD moves to date, 2-1 U-dogs.

On restart things are looking good for N4C forming a rough cage around the ball carrier on the halfway line, only for Gerald to blitz straight into it a kill the ball carrier. That’s 3 deaths now of Gerald’s conscience from this match alone! The game is all but over with the norse running out of players their coach throws in the towel and gives the U-dags their second ever victory. The fans are shocked, the coach is shocked and the players are shocked, this sort of performance is not what they expect.
