#9 Dalfort – Dead (RIP)
I was super nervous to face a coach as experienced as PG so I planned to play aggressive to swing things away from skill and towards luck. It was a good decision.
The lizards kicked and I scored quickly. On his return drive I did a risky leap/strip to knock the ball free. He set up a nice crowd push to get my stripper out (which would have probably been game over) but he BD/skull RR to BD/BD with a skink. With that opening I snatched and scored again to go into the half up 2.
Half 2 he received and I did another risky leap/strip. He was able to re secure the ball and spring a lone skink. I managed a super lucky dodge/leap/dodge/gfi/gfi to get that skink down. I had numbers on the ball and sealed it on turn 7.
Purple was fun and gracious throughout, even as the luck was totally against him. Great match. ”
