#1 Kenai – Dead (RIP)
#12 Larch – Fractured Skull (-AV)
A great game, with casualties to match.

The Norse felt overrun in the first half, as they overestimated their prowess and rowdiness. It didn't help when Kenai decided to go the way of the Salmon and spawn like they do in the middle of the field. That is to say; he died.

While the apothecary suggested cutting off a toe to save his life, it was decided that a limping Yeti was no Yeti at all. And so, they put him down.

In the second half, the Norse picked up steam and smashed through the halfling ranks, inflicting injuries left and right. At the end, it was a tie, but a well-deserved one all around.

#2 Sore Back – Gouged Eye (MNG)
#16 Gunner Fowl – Dead (RIP)
We welcomed another group of Norsemen into the shop, this time we were open and ready for customers, no riots needed.

They had the ball, and tried a simple rush down the side, Frozen Shoulder quickly seeing to that. They had a stinky clawed beast called Kenai burst in and fall down at the returns counter, but Smash D'Ankle soon cleaned him away. Gunner covered the ball well, Frozen Shoulder helping clear, and young Miffing Douf was able to wander down the sideline all but unaccosted to score the opener, as both Leif and Clive took returns at their thankfully clear counter.

They had another go, but young Wrecked Bits rebuffed their offers and the sales crew surged forward. Next thing they were passing like elves and scored free, and still no buying! Might be time for a sale. First up though, young Paininthe Neck was put over the top by Ed to keep us in the lead for half time. Good lad.

Post Trauma caught the second half kickoff directly, so Ed simply threw him over for another, why not. They ran it again, this time buying too, 3 sales off the line! Frozen Shoulder again took down their carrier and Gunner took the scatter. They soon freed it though, and a shortage of boots saw them break free and away. Gunner bravely stood in cover, the blitz failed, and he was killed, nothing the apothecary could do, and they scored.

Still one up, the opportunity looked good so Post Trauma went over again! Unfortunately landing in the shadow of a tackling Birch. Wicked bad luck. Ed! Two good throws, one a bit rough, eh.

This time Frozen Shoulder was alone at the blitz, sales still flying out, and he couldn't scatter it, they scored the equaliser with time to go. Just four for the final show, a quick snap saw Luckier Break grab the ball, of course we were covered in norsemen and it was all he could do to put the ball out of reach on the sideline. Safe with his sidestepping, Frozen Shoulder tripped the blitzer anyway.

Gunner Fowl: 35 games, 2 casualties, 4 MVPs (including rightfully his last match), and most notably 43 well-aimed boots with their own fair-share of highly skilled threats to our profit margins. 13th most foul fling in the box at the time of his death.

Me mourn Gunner, with funeral pie. Wagon loads of it. More pie than even the first great loss Mithing Deef. Our first and highest record holder cut one short of the all-time list, what a boot on the lad. We hold high hopes for his replacement, Gunner Kick.
