“A very close and tense match – Spartak blitzed the U-dogs from kick off and bullied their way through for an early score against the kick. In response the U-dogs slowly built an attack probing left and right trying to stretch the Spartak defence. Some heavy hitting from Ber’anx thinned the opposition line enough for U-world Goblin ‘Prop-pop’ to slip through and equalize.

Unfortunately for the U-dogs their timing of the drive was a little out and it left the Spartak rodents two turns to respond before the end of the half, which they did with a classic left flank drive and pass through the pouring rain leaving the half time scores at 2-1 to Spartak with the skaven team receiving in the second half.

Play resumes with a diminished Spartak team, which got progressively smaller as Ber’anx picked up his 8th career kill and the Spartak Rat Ogre is stretchered off KOed by a gobbo boot to the head. Pressing their numbers advantage the U-dogs push the remaining Skaven players back towards the Spartak endzone but the skavens defend valiantly by putting their own fur on the line against a rampaging Ber’anx and thumping hits from Gerald Pemberton-Fitzroy to cage the ball carrier until nearly the final turn when, with his cage finally disintegrating around him, the ball carrying gutter runner breaks through the U-dog lines to throw the ball deep into the empty U-dog half, an inspired, if desperate, play that secured the win for the Spartak team.
