FUMBBL Cup XIV - Game 3, round 4
Gefährliche Raubtiere chose Lord Borak and a Bloodweiser Babe to reinforce our team against this very tough opponent.

We received Kick-Off and so we tried to carefully crunch the opposing players. We tried to protect the Nurgle Warriors as much as we could while keeping up a high pressure, as it was our primary goal to score a touchdown in the first half. At a certain point during the game, it seemed that a very radical move had to be done in order to create a scoring possibility. We had good dices at this point and were able to knock down most of the players and so we could lock the opponent so that our ball carrier could walk through the lines.
In an all-CPOMB game, the first two or three turns are always decisive, as at a certain point it is not recommandable anymore to stand up and put pressure on their formation. We achieved this and were only one to two man down. We were offered several times a 1D or a 2D Blitz and we finally decided to try it on turn 7 second half. The Blitz was successful put the following recovery was as good as our Blitz and so they scored. We won the coin toss and received in OT, with 10 players remaining. It was only Rotters at this point who were missing the final part, so we were quite optimistic to win this game.
As the game continued and we moved forward by every single turn, we saw a decent chance at scoring by a quick pass. Just put up a tackle zone with our free Nurgle Warrior and pass... that was when suddenly my little dog made an unforeseenable move and moved my arm, so that the Nurgle Warrior made a stupid 6+ Dodge attempt.

Turnover!

My ball carrier was exposed and, as the sudden change of luck often results in, lost the ball. The opponent quickly grabbed the ball and ran almost out of reach and on their winning touchdown.
We had one chance to stop him with our Nurgle Warrior, Leistenkrokodil, which he took. Although two players were trying to occupy the ball, we were not able to fully recover from here, as the opponent was even able to put three players around the ball. Only the heroic performance of Tüpfelhyäne managed us to prevent the opponent from finally scoring.
The coin toss for the overall winner was won by us and we are luckily advancing to the 5th round with some averagely looking Wood Elves waiting for us.
