“I anticipated a war and some casualties in this game. The Devils overcommitted to a blitz and Birdie got smashed out the game as the chaos team recovered, followed by 2 more knock outs. I started to fear the worst. Nuffle had other ideas.

First the ref intervenes to send off a fouling beastman. The chaos team backed off to secure the ball, leaving the minotaur to fend for itself. Turreg thumped it down and Erik broke its neck with a well placed foul, which the referee turned a blind eye to. From there on in the Devils were hard hitting and relentless, whilst the Runners were reeling. Coach TheGe was probably a bit miffed at the failure of his more vicious players to make any further mark in the game whilst the humans went about maiming and killing their team mates. Such is Nuffle's whim, it gave me the platform to win the game.

It was a good game. Both halves saw the ball exchanging hands. Perhaps on a more even day the game is drawn, but I'll take a victory when it is offered to me by the almighty Nuffle.”
