“Well That was fun. I figured catch DiscoStu on a friday night and he'd be to busy planning an assault on the ladies with his silky dancing skills, and so it proved.
Nah, sadly i can take no credit for this.
I scored early doors, and hoped to use the wiz to pressure the restart and maybe hunt a 2-0.
Well, Miss Field 2016 showed up early and tried very hard to present me a td. I was ungreatful and it took about 35 turns to secure a loose ball and run it home, but we did.
Then we walled up and defended for the last 2 turns but an orc snuck past me and I wizzed it down to be certain of 2-0, with so much DT onfield moving to hit him was risky, so i played safe.
Second half we walled up again and skirmished, a riot on kick-off had pretty mauch handed me the win, but the orcs rolled badly all game and that meant slow progress.
DiscoStu had to risk breaking through, needing 2 td's, and when he did we took our ball back and ran in the creaming td for the 3-0.
Horrible dice for Stu, gleefully received by me”

Turn 1 my opponent wanted to move his catcher to a square, rather than GFIing twice, he GFI'd once dodged through a tacklezone. The black orc had diving tackle. Right then he was faced with 4+ (team RR available), failure meant a premature end, only 1 player in position to receive the pass, and being slightly out of position my defense would have really kicked in. But he rolled a straight 4, so that was that.
After he scored in 2, I had 7 turns to bash and score. He got a perfect defense and a deep kick, I did not respect it like I should. I only ran 3 players back to help out with the ball, and his pressure meant I needed a 2+ dodge and some GFI's in order to get the ball caged, and even then one point would be missing. It seemed to be that turn would be critical, however, before I could blink I snaked the dodge, and that was that.
After being 2-0 down I had to take risks, and PC did not make a mistake. It is true my dice weren't great, but I find it still takes a flawless game to shut someone out entirely, with PC did.
I thought the coolest thing about winning prem was being able to play for the urn, it appears I was a key factor in losing it... hopefully one day I have a chance to redeem myself.
And such I am left to wonder, what might have unfolded if Mamukala could have laid a tackle?
