One of the opening matches of Season II began with the Vampires against a team of Goblins who were a little obsessed with bread. The first half consisted of many failed bloodlust rolls, Juro being killed by Catcher of the Rye after a Both Down result by the former, and a failed bomb throw that injured the Bombardier named White Bread. At least Chiyo-chan managed to get the ball to the end zone. Next drive began with a Pitch Invasion that stuns 2 thralls, Chiyo-chan, and 2 goblins. Catcher of the Rye picks up the ball and gets thrown by Bagel Bite, but crashes and gets a serious concussion (-1 AV). The half ends with Keiji killing Sweet Fun and a failed pick-up by Canadian Flight in a last-ditch attempt to score before the end of the half.

The second half began with the Fanatic named Donut, more like GONUT stunning the thralls on the line of scrimmage before fracturing Doi's arm, causing him to miss the next game. The MMM try to close in on the ball carrier Pancake, but they overextend and allow Pancake to hand the ball to Peter before Press Tell throws him ahead. Peter crashed, but he did put the ball into a good position for I Donut Know Anymore, and they nearly score thanks to it. However, the MMM barely managed to stop them in time and hold on to the ball long enough to finish the game with a 1-0 lead.

After the game, Maximum Marvelous Maiden won 1 fan factor and a measly 20k gold, while Sora-sama became MVP. Thankfully, they could afford an aopthecary at least, which they will need if their next matches will be as brutal as this one.”
