The Starlight's finally got to play a match in the OWCC tonight. Their long awaited return finally came and the fans were treated to a victory in what turned out to be a tight affair.
The Ogres showed up with two more of their kind and the Starlights knew they had a long match coming, however it wasn't as deadly as what was first percived. The Ogres couldn't hit a barn door all evening and to top it all off they couldn't make the critical plays to score, nuffle was on the Starlights side.
You could see that the Elves had been away from the game too long and looked very rusty, they even put a couple of fouls in too! But in the second half they actually remembered that they were Elves and were actually not half bad either. With a quick snap play they scored early in the second stunning the Ogres. They then almost came close to a second by taken the Ogres by surprise right at the kick off, but they defended well to stop the attack. Coming close right at the death the Ogres could of pulled one back to tie the match, but another failed throw of a snotling sealed their fate.
Not the most convincing win for the Starlights but after a few more matches they should be back to how they were before the long break.
