“Happy Fourth returns to the field after more than six years of waiting. Dark Elves don't grow old...

I had a nice opponent in this GLT qualifier game, who was in for a huge junk of unexpected attention from Nuffle. Not the good kind, if that even exists...

The lizards chose to kick, and Happy Fourth was happy enough to send two sauri into the KO box at once. With little danger the elves moved onwards, fouling whenever the moment was right, and Malthor sent another saurus away with a smashed collar bone. Cloggy walked in 1-0 by turn 5. Enough time to steal the ball for 2-0 by half time!

Next kick off saw a massive pitch invasion, which leveled most of my opponents. And none of my elves. I think the fans really came out to greet our return! The lizards couldn't get to the ball that had landed in their end zone and my blitzers raced ahead. Maybe they didn't notice the Diving Tackle on Christer, but a crashed skink later he stood up and scored a crucial 2-0. I probably could and should have stalled a turn here, as I still left the skinks a shot at running in 2-1 before halftime, and they still had that wizard....

Luckily the skinks didn't get that far, actually falling down to another DT, this time from Angie.

Second half and the lizards move ahead. I let them have a bit of room and suddenly they were in position to score. I got in there and knocked the ball loose, but it ended up in the hands of another skink and then we had 2-1. Too bad.

That wizard was still there, but I forgot for a moment. I left the ball carrier alone in the back, the lizards moved ahead, lightning struck....nothing! Cloggy had dodged the lightning bolt!

I pushed ahead, tying up the sauri, and the skinks didn't manage to get a hit in (again thwarted by DT Christer!) I kept the ball moving ahead and they couldn't get enough strength to bear on Mr Klipp's ST4. 3-1 and the deal was done.

The team did very well. Our armour was enchanted I think, as we seldom left the pitch. We used our chances, and came away with a sweet victory, Ref sent off 1 player in the game's ten fouls :P

Malthor was sent off, but awarded the MVP, he caused 2 cas in his 5 turns, so well deserved.
