Ended up being a pretty wild game. We kicked, and struggled to knock down our opponents i the first half. Our line held strong, not letting many Orcs by. Turn 7 rolled around and the Orcs needed to get a player in scoring range, they cleared a path but their thrower tripped on a GFI leaving the ball exposed and no Orcs in range.
We managed to scoop up the loose ball, pass to an open Rotter and hand it off another rotter, Stanislas, who run away into scoring position, leading to a relatively easy T8 defensive score.
We started to struggle in the first half, after Ardun was knocked out. We found ourselves exposed and the Orcs took advantage, stealing the ball and covering up relatively well. We were forced to have a BoN block to free up a Nurgle Warrior to GFI twice to get a block. We failed to knock the ball carrier down but at least we were able to surround him.
It looked like a fairly easily blitz and run-off for a game-tying score, but our opponent snake-eyed the foul appearance roll which left him rather stuck. A failed dodge led to a an exposed ball.
Inha took over, he scooped up the loose ball, blitzed a black orc to create and opening and sprung free into opposing territory; however, We were unable to cover him up too well.
A troll 3-BD hit required a RR which turned out to be crucial as the Orc blitzer failed a GFI. This allowed Inha to run off into the sunset and score the game-sealing 2-0 TD.
Rewarded for his heroic efforts, Inha developed an extra strength! Well-suited given his joining mid-way through the tournament, resulting in 2 games, 2 TDs, and assisting in winning our first tournament!”
