“The Bowling Green coach spent his inducement money well, ensuring plenty of bribes and the fearful Ripper Bolgrot!

The start of the game however didn't go according to plan, Happenstance and Circumstance, who were itchign to score a lot of TDs andstart aggressively, caught the goblin offence napping and blitzing into the danger area, although the touch back gave D L Underwood II the ball he was unable to capitalise as HJ Tayfield failed his block (double skulls), he was then knocked down but not out by Rockstar Superstar, retrieving the ball that had slipped from Diesel Powers hands he pogo'd away until the stick slipped and caught him in the head and he badly hurt himself.

Once the ball was back in the grasp Happenstance and Circumstance lost it again on an errant catch but a last gasp blitz by Ripper saw him trip leaving a TZ and Diesel Power was able to score his first ever TD in his 19th career match!

After the high drama of the first few turns the half settled down into a midfield battle although Happenstance and Circumstancec were only denied a 2nd TD when Plan B slipped over in the bomb detrius and stunning himself at the feet of Skittler. It was also notable for Ripper getting the first block casualty of the game (BH on Simple Simon) and Awesome Sauce getting Happenstance and Circumstance first Casualty (SI S Goldsmith).

The second half started with Bowling Gobbo kicking to Happenstance and Circumstance who went for the quick score (I messed up how many 1 ttd attempts this game? - I should probably use the practice thing) but were still able to get a 2nd turn td despite Skittler's very accurate bombs.

Looking to then extend the league Happenstance and Circumstance were surprised by a gobbo fling and and score in turn 3 of the half. With the goblins kicking to Happenstance and Circumstance again they went for another quick score, but the goblins put the boot in and in anger Happenstance and Circumstance quickly showed their mettle taking 2 goblins out of the game permanently,before they made it 3-1 in turn 6.

Thinking they could get a TD in 2 turns they were surprised when I W Johnson killed Dirty Dan (and after the game it turns out one of the goblins had already stolen his famed fouling boot (along with his wallet, in fact I think they went threw my teams lockers and stole all our petty cash...)) from his still warm corpse during the game), before H J Tayfield threw A Kumble II for a 1 TTD of their own.

Still 2 turns on the clock, Happenstance and Circumstance were ready to make the game 4-2 when out of nowhere the Bowling Green coach pulled his own surprise blitz, immediately Happenstance and Circumstance under pressure, although Lil'Bear got belated revenge on Ripper for the earlier casualty by badly hurting him enough that he couldn't regenerate from it.

Turn 8 and Happenstance and Circumstance had one last attempt to score which went out the window when Harry 'The Bomb' was tripped by Stumpy's diving tackle (I hadn't marked him and so decided to dodge away rather than have another player blitz him (so dumb)). This gave Bowling Green their last chance to tie the game but unfortunately Stumpy carried away with his own success tripped in the endzone and as such ended the turn prematurely before Lightfoot could attempt to dodge away get the ball and make the pass.

A good fun game with plenty of banter :-)
