The apes came to play, even unleashing a blitz - the coaching was superb...but sadly, the players just did not have the skills. A failed block to start with and the Ninjas struck fast and furious. Goeff Britten was the point man for the offense, as he quickly removed several apes from the field...the few apes that did not get carted off lay on the ground for a moment and that was all Brian Arnold needed as he laid in several hard boots to cart off another pair of apes.
There was a near disaster in the second half as Jessie suffered a vicious hit from a Silverback...initially it looked like her shoulder was broken - but after she was examined on the sideline, the doctor was able to report that the injury was just a bruise and she was back on the field...only to suffer another vicious hit that took her out for the rest of the game.
A solid game to start with - but no time for celebration - we are on a mission to prove ourselves the best and that does not stop here!”
