“The Gloryhole's previous match had been a mass slaughter suffered. We wanted to avoid a repeat here but were up against a 3 Big Guy side with a clawpomb Marauder. It looked tough, and the crowd were with them, but we were up for glory.
We kicked long and blitzed forward, the catchers leading the way. But the Pact laughed as the legend Dark Elf went back and picked up while their blitzer smashed down and piled on our best player Terith. His hand was smashed! Another catcher tried to blitz down Ghost Dance but the task was too much. A linelf was ko'd and then Speed Kills, our 2nd best player, was badly hurt as he tried to burst into their cage! Already at end t2 we were in disarray. It looked like the match was all but over as what we could do with what we had left? The answer was get dirty and get strong!
Death or Glory cas'd a loner, and then with a gangfoul a Journey Elf seriously injured their Ogre! There was some tussling and after a Pact block fail we put the pressure on. Their carrier burst forward and we managed to get him wrestled down. Players dodged back and we had the chance to steal, but our thrower tripped up on the ball! Our opponents were then able to recover with their rat getting the last second TD.
Second half we were still angry. Ultra started off with support on the Mino and cas'd it brilliantly. Lorello Smooth could then get through with a cage. He was brought down by the Dark Elf breaking the cage but the ball went to our thrower who then got our equalizer.
They came back and soon cas'd a Journeyelf. We kept up the fouling repeatedly stunning clawpomber Rogue River. Eventually he was ko'd. The Dark Elf was in our half with the ball, along with the Troll and a couple of Marauders in support. But amazingly he tripped up! A delighted Ultra picked up the free ball and handed off to Lorathmir who raced off for the winner. What a shock.

6 fouls for us and 4 for the pact with no sending offs today. A crazy match.
