#7 Sasquatch IV – Smashed Hip (-MA)
#8 600 lb Kitten II – Dead (RIP)
If you're gonna go out, go out with an Unbelievable! style! That's just what these rats did when they came out today, knowing it was going to be the FTL show. And oh, was it ever! First half ended 4-4, all 4 scores by FTL, and our rats taking the 2nd half kickoff.

However, an impatient Bermuda Rat Ogre skulled-himself to the ground, leaving an unprepared FTL sitting duck to get slaughtered by the opposing str 4/block/claw/stiletto storm vermin. (Ouch!) He scores, it's now 5-4 him. This is where everything inexplicably went wrong. Rainbow amazingly fumbled a pass for the first time since he was a rookie, allowing for the opposition to take the ball. Some furious back and forth saw them almost score, only to lose the ball on a miss-throw. We took the ball and advanced it to 3 squares away from scoring, only to lose it and have it go back the other way to 3 squares away on his side. A 3d-block he chooses blitz sent his ballcarrier into the sidelines and the ball back to the middle of the field, where there was still some semblance of Unbelievable! strength in numbers. However, it wasn't enough, as the Rhat-psody still managed to free up the ball and score in turn 8, denying FTL the chance to score once more.

However, FTL is now a certified mega-star, with his only injury in 6 skill rolls and 32 games being a -ag stat on this latest skill. I'm sure, given his speed and determination, that he had the makings of legend material in him, but alas the team just isn't there around him. Pitch invasions, thrown stones, teammates falling left and right. FTL is hanging up his super-speed cleats and turning to a life of coaching now, looking after his brain-child, FTL Inc. We wish him and his squad success in the future.

Where will all his teammates wind up? Assistant coaches to FTL Inc, of course! Guess the team's not disbanding completely, just changing venues; instead of living the glory days on the pitch, they'll regale the young FTL rats with stories of their past glory days. Kinda makes one nostalgic just thinking of it...

But this is coach AFK_Eagle, signing off on what has been a truly Unbelievable! franchise, my most successful until the rash of bad luck of late. This team will always hold a special place in my heart...
