As the first half started, swirling snow obscured the field from sight. As the De Rigeurmortis took the field in their tails and top hats, it became apparent that they're recruited a rather dapper Setekh to their ranks. On the Eye New't side, their ball handler appeared to have recent returned from a Cognac tasting and appeared stumbling drunk... not an auspicious start. The teams lined up in the middle of the field and started pushing, although rather too politely -- neither team able to establish a clear advantage. When the intoxicated Rhee finally made a play to move the ball down the field, Scheamp failed to receive and the half was effectively over.
Second half, a rather surprised Bakari Edfu catches the kickoff on the extreme right of their line. Declining offers of brandy and cigars, he quickly dashes to the safety of a cage behind the center of the De Rigeurmortis line. Very quickly the skeleton cage is surrounded and collapsed by an Orc scrum which attempts to squeeze the ball out... quite unsuccessfully as Bakari Edfu breaks free and dashes down the field while the unlikely pair of Bi and Mere attempt to head him off. The play of the game took place between as the little Mere Skyraisin pushed Setekh back from protecting the ball carrier, and Setekh response against the goblin sends him face down in the grass so that his teammates could bring down the ball carrier. This brave action prevented their skeletal opponents from scoring and earned Mere the game's MVP.
