K, so I'm watching the game again.

Your initial setup was okay, and you responded properly to the Blitz! result. Maybe I might have held the wolf back in reserve, but I can't blame you for not doing so.

Your major mistake came on the first real turn, and it was twofold. First, you blitzed the ghoul; it was 2d/1d into Dodge. You could have hit the Skeleton, instead: that would have been 2d/2d, with no Dodge; you would have gotten a knockdown. The second part of that mistake was to push the ghoul to the sideline, where you had to follow up, and it put me in position to take your Werewolf out of the game.

On turn 2, you tried to save your ghoul. This was a mistake also. You should have blitzed my Ghoul off the ball with your Wight, picked up the ball, and scored. Your odds would have been better, and you'd have picked up a touchdown.

On turn 3, you sealed the game by dodging that Ghoul out onto the sidelines. This gave me a manpower advantage and left you carrying with Wights. Stay off the sidelines!

After that, you played pretty well for the rest of the half. You even made me roll dice to score!

In the 2nd half, it was 11 on 8, with a Perfect Defense. I'm not sure I could have gotten out of that mess if the roles were reversed. But 2 of your 3 men out were out because you put them on the sidelines.

You outran your coverage, because you overcommitted to the line, but it didn't look like an overcommitment, so I can't tell you I wouldn't have done the same.

After you were down 0-2, your main goal became "get some SPP on the MB wolf." You chose to attempt a Cas rather than a TD. I'm here to tell you that a TD is more than 2/3 as likely as a Cas, and when your Wolf has exactly 8 SPP, you want 3 a lot more than you want 2, 'cuz then you can nominate him for the MVP and get him Block.

#5 Runningman Halfdead – Broken Ribs (MNG)
Thank you for taking the time to analyze this! I definitely wanted to get off the sidelines once I got stuck there, haha. Going to rewatch with your comments now.

After rewatching, I remember my initial idea was that if I could get a POW on your ghoul (which was silly), I could get the ball marked. You've helped me realize I need to think more about "target acquisition". With one GFI from the blitzer, I could've had 2d/2d on the skeleton with no dodge afterwards. I think my main concern with hitting the skeleton at first was that I'd have to dodge away after or leave the wolf there. In hindsight, leaving the wolf there was definitely better than putting him on the sidelines.

Thanks again for the advice! I'm going to add it to my turn-taking process in the future!
