“We faced Elves who looked up for the match and caused an immediate casualty on the LOS. However Tom the receiver ran at the back and tripped up. Then he shockingly fumbled the ball too. We weren't quick enough to get the ball at the back but as he moved into a cage we crowded in. Tom failed a leap which meant Jesiah could gather it and get protected. A leap attack didn't succeed (no wrestle) and though we were forced back eventually the Plebeians advanced into range. The Elves covered back with a double line but after moving across and then an Elf rookie skulling Josiah was able to score just before half-time. Close one.

2nd half due to casualties we set up 9 v 10 but a mighty blow by Larrus "The Smithy" helped open up space and Jesiah scored the crucial 2nd.

There was then a Blizzard and we setup 9 v 8. Both downs left the Elves in a mess and with improved hitting this half Humanity could get the ball and take control. Jesiah stalled out the 3rd while teammates ko'd piles of Elves around them. First career hat-trick for Jesiah!

Most of our blocks knocked down opposition and with no significant errors it was a great performance by the Plebeians after a challenging first half. It ends a run of 8 matches without a win!”
