#12 Daugion II – Dead (RIP)

Zara and 2 bribes were the purchase to deal with the uber elves. Dhaktokh surely expected the HG star to open gaps but I simply did not see a chance for that to work plus he is a weak star. Instead, Zara is a ST4 blodge staber useful as road block in a game vs woodies. Also, I lack any dp player and that was useful for my oppo as KOs would have been CAS.
I focused on the battle plan from the start. Foul the best opponent available. St5 lino, St4 WD and ST7 tree were out at some point of the second half. That is, I was 1-0 ahead in my drive with most of the threats already removed. Still, he stole the ball and scored. KO rolls only revived the tree and thus I was able to score "easily".
Perfect defence avoided the last OTT try and so it was sealed.

It was an uphill for me from the start. I received but the extensive fouling (12 of them in 16 turns) did their job.
And it was 3 of 13 ko´s for me after I (magically) managed to score in turn 3 -4 in 2nd half.
CroixFer did concentrate all his job on the fouling so I had several more options to get the ball with some failed fouls (not ko, stun or the ref would be around). But his elves sure knew how to treat my stat-freaks.
I didn't get my players back so it was rather impossible. Only desperate moves from my side the whole game from turn 4 in first half. And thats not the way to win a semifinal.
ONE thing to remember. CroixFer did 12 fouls as I said without dp.
(I did one in turn 1 and was sent off. Snaked.)
I did another one in turn 16(!) and killed the rookie. That felt really good. The only thing in the game that felt good actually (well, and my score ofc) I really would had loved to hit and foul the tree but that was too much, but I was really really tempted.
Before that I removed 1 player in the game. This move 10 mb-tackling wd that were apoed.
Nuffle was not nice to me in this game. But thats bb.
Now my team are at tv 2850(!) and ready for Ulthuan. Damned it, time to win a major! :-D”
