It was great honour to play vs the team with Thursdaynight Guitarclub on board. Even more as the number of his game divides by so many cool and round numbers. And I must say he is a beast of a treeman, breaking from tackle zones and blitzing. He was probably the first tree I was really scared of and directed great effort to contain him (with rather poor effects).

Regarding the game I can say no more than Stikki. All 21 elves on the pitch seemed to have been trained by khemri. What made for a really fun match :)

Looking to play this great team and coach again!

#2 Newlylaid Graveldrive – Fractured Skull (-AV)
***** FANFARE *****

This was Thursdaynight Guitarclub's 500th game. Woo Hoo! He had nothing to show for it, with nothing more than a KO from his 11 blocks and no MVP, but he was impressive all the same - several times he went for it twice in order to blitz, was regularly in the thick of the play, and didn't fall down or take root once - well, OK, he took root once, but he was able to pro his way out of it.

He's something of a gentle giant - number 4 on the all-time most blocks with exactly 3800, but only 23 on the top blocker table with 328. Still, he's been around long enough to have made a name for himself (mostly with a handful of coaches who would desperately like to see him get no further).

Anyway, onto the game...

My run of draws continues - this time mostly thanks to my thrower who double fumbled the pick-up twice to give the Philobowlers what was, in effect, two free blitzes. But at least he was in good company as marksman0 was rolling just as many fails as I was. Look at the game stats... nothing but turnovers all the way through. As elves, we both sucked. Really. The only reason I made it to 17 passing yards is because of my long bomb on the final turn - and thanks to marksman0's player-placing there was no chance of a sneaky one-turner to steal the win.

All-in-all, it was a pleasant way to spend an hour or so. Nothing really dramatic, but then nothing really dramatically bad either, so I can't complain. And there was plenty of good chat along the way.

Fun, fun, fun.
