In fact, this one was so fast and furious, it kind of left me behind after the first few turns. I was doing quite well at first, scoring and scoring and getting rid of a couple of rats along the way, and then suddenly I found myself 2-3 down. How did that happen? Oh yeah, now I remember. I snaked a gfi, then I snaked a pick-up, then I failed a break tackle and a PRO roll on the tree...

And the thing is, against Cubic, every time you make a mistake, they score. And considering I outnumbered them, how come there were so many of them? And how come they were always in a position to score? Okay, so that last one was probably my fault, but you get the idea. They were all over me like a cheap cliché.

After the second-half kick-off I was 2-4 down and forced to play catch-up. At least my dice rolling had improved, and I was able to do pretty much everything I wanted to each turn, but short of a blitz or a sudden bout of blocking, this was yet another one I was going to lose. And what do you know? No blitz, no injuries. A last turn diving tackle against a gutter runner prevented it from being 4-6, but all-in-all it was a comfortable win for Madvig.

But what a game! A combined total of 14 passes for 109 yards and 9 touchdowns. Outstanding!
