“Fumbbl Cup Round 1

The game started with the Goblins receiving and true to character they had a number of tricks up their sleeves. They managed to poison the opposing teams Legendary Werewolf with a 'Witches Brew', causing him to act 'Really Stupid' throughout the first half. Ripper Bolgrot was also induced, in theory adding some much needed hitting power to the diminutive Goblins. Though he had a bit of an off day spending most of the game knocked out in the dug out, after failing to hurt anything, to Rippers credit he did get in the way a fair bit.

The Crooked Corsairs lived up to their name as they managed to bribe the ref throughout the game. The ref turning a blind eye to both the fanatic and bombardiers antics.

The first half went well for the Corsairs, as the goblins managed a number of casualties and KOs, though the Necomancer managed to coax all his minions back to life for the 2nd half. As Cephalea's players dropped the Goblins rushed down a wide zone and cages up near the end zone, seeing out the first half.

The Goblins still had to defend against a one turn touch down, they set up with two banks and a side step goblin making it very tough for the Werewolf to break through, however a pitch invasion knocked a big hole in the Goblin defence, the Necros had a decent chance to break through, but luckily for the Goblins the concentration of the Cephalea players was not on point.

Half time 1-0.

2nd half was something of a formatily after the first few turns went well for the Necromantic team, the goblins numbers dwindled and their secret weapon wielding players were promptly dispatched. The goblins tried to do as much damage as they could before the end of the half and tried to hide their super star Goblin from the chasing Werewolves, just when he thought he had got away a Flesh Golem smashed him into the dirt.

The Necros socred in the dying minutes of the half and the Goblins had 1 attempted to throw a goblin downfield for the touch down, Ripper who had just recovered from being Knocked Out fumbled the Gobo.

The Goblin team won the toss in over time, and cleared a hold in the Necromatic teams defence, Ripper did not fail this time and threw a goblin down field who to everyone's amazement, including his own, landed perfectly and then ran the ball across the line for a touch down.”
