“One of my team's few tacklers missed the game due to a niggle, and that proved to be the difference maker. That, plus my stupid rat ogre deciding not to move until the last two turns of the game. (He did get a cas and help to set up a near-td, but that's beside the point.) He has so many blodgers it's unreal. I've played amazons before, but never where all but a couple people have blodge.

He scored early first half, and then fended off my attempts the rest of the half. Second half I tried the right side, nothing there, so I reversed field and went left. Here's where my speed advantage proved crucial, as he was unable to get enough players to the other side of the pitch to stop me from scoring. Fierce battle in the middle, his thrower bottled up something fierce and unable to move, thought I might preserve the tie. But no, he gets a lucky series of pow's to remove my sidestepping gutters and waltzes in for the score.

Ok, I have one turn to try to even things up. He has 3 on the LOS, the rest sitting next to his endzone. I have a movement 10 gutter. Let's get busy.

Set up for a series of chain pushes so dramatic I manage to push my gutter 3 steps forward, negating the need for any gfi's, AND I get a cas out of the deal. Pickup the ball, hand it off, all I need to do is dodge through a series of defenders to paydirt. It'll require 3 dodges, I have ag 4 and a rr. Here goes...nothing. I get knocked over on the second dodge, game over. Oh, so close!
