The Bibali Blackhearts took to the field this rainy night, knowing they needed a win to Lunar Embrace tournament. A draw would see them drop to second place, and a loss would cause them to drop precipitately to third. They were certain that fortune shone happily on them, for as soon as the initial kickoff to them hit the ground, the rain cleared, and with the very first block, Felipe the Lizard knocked out the Thunderfang slave, Ond. Overconfidence soon soured initial exuberance, for at the end of the first half four Thunderfangs had been removed from the field... two greivously injured, one knocked out, and one banned from the game for behaviour unworthy of our great sport, but the Blackhearts had bungled basic ball handling over, and over again.

Once the pattern was set, the second half saw more of the same. Stretcher after stretcher removing Thunderfangs from the field... but perhaps the ball was slick with their vital life fluids, but the Blackhearts dropped the ball again during what should have been easy plays. Alas, when the final gonne sounded, the crestfalled Estalia players marched backed to the lockerroom... fallen... defeated.

They shall return to the field this Fall with greater determination. More bloodthirsty. And perhaps with pine tar and sticky gloves!”
