Fun game against ogres and the last one required for me to complete the grid with High Elves! Ogres started out first half much smarter than usual, with not a bonehead roll to be seen! Scored at turn 5 and let the elves set up. Elves had some shots at an equalizer before halftime, but couldn't quite get it to work.

Due to a shortage of smelling salts in the elf KO box, elves were outnumbered 11 to 6 after the first touchdown, then 11 to 7 after halftime. A quick 2-turner then saw the elves kicking and in a hurry to score again. Despite some elf shenanigans which saw two elves far into Ogreland and surrounding the ball, a snotling picked up the ball and ferried it to Captain Dainty, the Blocking ogre.

Tolg Stenfors made his first successful use of his recently acquired Dauntless skill and managed to knock the good Captain on his behind, freeing the ball. As soon as the Captain came to his senses, however, he threw a vicious block against Tolg which would have killed him stone dead if it hadn't been for the heroic efforts of the team apothecary. The coach fretted for a while over whether to let the apothecary use up his expensive drugs on Tolg, who isn't the beacon of promise that he once was after a nasty AV- injury he incurred recently.

The teams then scrummed for possession until the elves were able to use their superior ball handling and hurl the squigskin to a comfortable reception and winning touchdown.

Gameplay was surprisingly by-the-book considering the vast supply of snotlings and even a chainsaw on field, with only a single foul committed. Lots of snotling blood was spilled, as is customary, and the only permanent damage to the teams was a dead snotling.

Friendly coach and a good time!
