For the first half anyway. The entire first half saw the elves trip over their feet. Failed dodges. Failed Go for its. First foul attempt ejected without even an armor break. Duke roots on turn 1. Let's face it, they looked like they showed up for a pick up game of flag football rather than Bloodbowl. The Bucs walked over us with a good steady grind down the field and almost snapped Riddicks leg, but the Doc set it straight. After the score, a good solid setup for the Bucs and a team shuffling back and forth not knowing were to stand killed any shot a 1 turn TD, so the Bucs take the first half 1-0.
We don't know what Coach Malkor said in the locker room at the half, but it seemed to work.
Pats start the second half making a quick hole and run the catcher right through. Riddick shows that for all his talent, he's still fresh out of college and misplaces his coverage by a step leaving just enough room for a bull blitz on the ball which pops free. However he redeems himself by scooping it right up and running in for a score.
Bucs receive a deep kick for the next drive and manages to get through the circling elf defense to start a fresh grind, this time the Duke isn't rooted and messes with the drive a bit, even getting his first casualty getting through the 10av of Ryan who again didn't die. The same can't be said for Extra move bull Garrison Sandorn. Elthor the Evil takes him down shattering his hoof. The Bucs doc takes one look at the bad leg, knows it can't be fixed and puts Sandhorn out of his misery.
Shaken up by the death, the Bucs take the safe score rather than try to stall.
Two turn is all the Pats need though. A touchback goes to star Riddick Who easily leaps over the Bucs defense for the final score.
Good game Wolvezzz, hard fought. You showed me I still have a lot to learn with these guys even when my dice Don't suck.
