“The Battle of the Pirates in the Crown of Sand! The Buccs unfortunately did not have their sea-legs in a horrific start, Da Rumbler was not ready to rumble with quad skulls on their very first block. The Krakens moved up to mark the Buccs ballcarrier, who in turn failed a dodge and Nithar Blackspike swept up to score. The rowdy Buccs fans didn't take kindly to that and a well-aimed rock knocked out Blitzer Dukkeras. This woke up the Buccs' players who promptly killed Star Elijah Doom on the line, and a big maul ensued. The Krakens popped the ball again but some uncharacteristically poor ball-handling and good countering by the Buccs almost resulted in an equaliser at the end of the first half. That wasn't to be though and a sweeping drive up the left wing by stat-freak Seron effectively ended it. Ogre Krikack defiantly booted a fallen elf in the knackers in front of a trembling ref, and the Buccs scoring a late consolation to round off an entertaining game.

The Buccs will be kicking themselves after a cold start, otherwise this could have been very close; however that was purely the fault of the players on the pitch and Painstate will undoubtedly have them swabbing the decks for the next week!
