“After some efforts to get a match we were challenged by MenonaLoco's Dark Elves. The previous time the Champions faced a team of ML's we hired Slibli and got a 3-3 draw..

This looked likely to be a tough one for the skink carriers, especially with a strong Ag 5 leaper to face. We hired Slibli again to hopefully help thin Elf numbers.

After a riot Santo got the ball and sidestepped Nudlaug's first leaping attack. A skink tripped and was ko'd while Santo advanced and sidestepped another effort. He wasn't hanging around and so dodged through to score. Santo needed his sure feet and Dodge talents to make it through this drive. And he is now recognized by the world as a LEGEND! Well deserved with that agility.

There was a pitch invasion and a Witch Elf got the ball. It turned out to be a comfortable run up the side to get the equalizer.

We had a little time left. Santo quick passed forward to Pintxos. I realized I made an error in how I set them up as really the ag5 should have been the one going into the opponents half. Pintxos did sidestep another leap attack. We knocked down one tackler in the ruck but couldn't take down the shadower. Pintxos made 3 dodges through, and couldn't escape the shadower. 2nd attempt he escaped but failed the last dodge with a 2! Needed that ag5.. 1-1 half-time.

Second half the Dark Elves broke through again. This time a quick pass between Witch Elves led to the 3 turn TD.

They kicked right in a back corner, but Pintxos managed to get the ball to Santo. Saurii caused a couple of KOs and Santo got in a Guard cage. One space left for a leaper though. Again it was sidestepped (1db) and then a Witch Elf 1db skulled. So Santo could then race away. Superiore also finally caused the first casualty of the match on a Line Elf. I actually miscounted and should have gfi'd for a 2nd time with Santo. So a Witch Elf jumped up and leapt toward him, but couldn't make her own 2nd gfi. It was then 2-2.

The Elves broke through again. They had to make a pass, some dodges and gfis to score but they did it. 3-2 to Calzon Chino.

We then received a touchback and reroll. We set up forward. Slibli blitzed so he could grab and move a sidestepper into our crowd. With another push and then a casualty (apo saved the death) Santo was 3 paces forward. What a chance.. he dodged through the line and sure footed to score! A great hat-trick to equalize 3-3.

Very good match. Santo didn't get a double skill but sprint will come in handy.
