Awesome game for the flings against friendly Swamps. Lots and lots of blocking, fouling and awesome high agility plays from both teams. Elves were severely outnumbered early on in the game, and it got progressively worse.
Flings managed to score on turn 0 in the first kick-off of the second half; kicked deep (into the end zone), rolled a blitz and chucked hero fling #3 far enough for him to run and catch the kick for a 0-turn touchdown! Never done it before, nor seen it done, and it was glorious.
Elves were a touchdown down and lined up 5 vs 11 players, but managed to whittle down the fling defences and eventually run their boys all the way for the score. Final kick of the game was deep, and elves rolled their own blitz at that point. The flings, silly, violent creatures that they are, focused on hurting the elves at that point rather than going for the ball.
The thing to remember, of course, is that for stunties, a draw feels like a win (and a win feels like two wins)... and that blitz touchdown... wow!
