“The Nodoth Rusher have had their season cut short following an unlikely brutalizing at the hands of the Kalmar Nelfs. A string of questionable gatherings off Halflings around downed Nordoth players left 4 of the 11 man squad out of the the game of Blood Bowl indefinitely. This includes the death of Longbeard Lineman Tholim Blackborn. Owner/Coach Buck was brief in his post game statements, "With the losses to the Nordoth Rushers we have no choice but to conclude our short season after just one game. The costs to purchase new players alone are such that we'll need to recoup financially and set a whole new squad." In spite of their number disadvantage, the remaining Dwarven players left on the pitch did put up a hearty defense at the close of the game.

In a bizarre turn of events, flings brutalized their somewhat taller, sturdier cousins. Treemen both got a casualty, but it was the 14 fouls (with only a single player sent off after bribes and arguments worked their magic) that did the trick.
Final fling play was magic; crowd threw the ball in just right, then they managed a pickup in the rain, two GFI's, a handoff of the wet and muddy ball, then another GFI to make it to the end zone. Good stuff.”
